Ramsey, New Jersey - October 25, 2016 - The Ramsey School District is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished Program for 2016 - 2018 for its 21st Century Learning Initiative, which is successfully preparing students for a complex and changing global and technological society. The Apple Distinguished Program designation is reserved for programs that meet criteria for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence, and demonstrate a clear vision of exemplary learning environments.

The selection of the Ramsey School District as an Apple Distinguished Program highlights the district's success in creating an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment. iPad and other technology applications have significantly enhanced the district's effort to foster its educational vision, which emphasizes complex problem-solving, authentic real-world applications, creativity and innovation, deep conceptual understanding of content, and social responsibility. The Ramsey School District is a Pre-K - 12 public school that serves the communities of Ramsey and Saddle River, New Jersey.
