  • We are excited to announce the transition to a standards-based progress report (report card) for the 2016-2017 school year.

This new area of our website will include all relevant information about the standards-based progress reports. Specifically, you will be able to access a sample progress reports for each grade, the learning benchmarks for every indicator that appears on the progress report, and the presentation that was given at the September 16 PTO Meeting.

A standards-based progress report highlights the most important skills students should learn in each subject at a particular grade level. In our elementary school learning environment, students will receive marks that report student progress toward meeting content and performance standards three times a year.   A standards-based progress allows parents to see how their child is progressing toward a particular standard and gives teachers a better tool for documenting a learner’s progress.

Proficiency levels will be determined by multiple assessments, student work samples, and teacher observations.  All of the information will be used to determine how the student is progressing toward the end-of-year standards.

Our new standards-based progress reports will be based on three trimesters (Fall, Winter, and Spring).   Progress reports will be posted on the Parent Portal on December 16 (Trimester 1), March 31 (Trimester 2), and June 22 (Trimester 3).

If you have any questions, please contact the main office and we would be happy to help.
